That's interesting... I'll have to give it a try too. I wonder if there is a better way than having multiple hits. I'm sure that would affect performance. But better something than nothing right?

It has been a while since I setup a DNN site to use SSL, but i am pretty sure the following will work.  Just make the whole site use https. Then you just install the certificate like you would any other asp.net site and set the IIS properties so the site requires SSL.  You can only have 1 parent portal in this setup, but you can have as many child portals as you want.

Thanks for the input ssmehaffie. That was my initial thought, but the problem with that is every page is under SSL, slowing down the performance of the whole site. I'm using DNN with Catalook so I have enough weight to worry about already. I think it might be best to get the SLL rewrite module from Snowcovered and have it only effect the desired pages. Maybe DNN will add SSL support in the near future.

I have Catalook and SSL on my site and I also switch to SSL and back on login with just a few simple lines of Javascript.

This makes the determination on the client machine and redirects them there.

Switch to SSL and back using Javascript
