Yes this is a very lovely installation - makes Sharepoint seem easy.  The documentation is for IIS 5.0 and SQL Server 2003 - OLD PACKAGES.  My download doesn't even have a web.config file in it - so not even sure how to attempt and install or even if I want to after this aggravation.

To install the Starter Kit, double-click the file in Windows File Explorer. The Visual

Studio Content Installer will launch and will look something like this.

What file ????

Taziq, there are two config files for you to use, release.config or development.config, rename one to be web.config

If you downloaded the Starter Kit there should be either an MSI or VSI file that you can double click.

If you were able to install the package on one pc, you should be able to install it on another. Try starting over again on your pc and try to duplicate the steps you completed to get DNN installed on your office pc. Let us know the results.

This is not an answer.  This is an advertisement to sell Engage support / tech / docs.

While you might not agree with the methods John suggested, they are most definitely steps we would try in our own environments if we were having installation problems.
