Hi,

I want to make my skin with a fixed width of 1024, when a image with a larger width is placed the complete page will grow how can i prevent this??

You can set the overflow of your outer wrapper to hidden. This will cut off the image that is too big for the screen/page. Other then that you can set your outer wrapper with a fixed width and then put an inner division that allows for scrolling of the image, but it kinda looks really funky to have a scroll bar in the middle of your page. Overall I typically just force limits and set overflow: hidden; If your going for a set width then all the images should meet the width requirements, if not its kinda pointless to build a fixed width skin. At least thats my logic for why its ok for the skin to cut the image off.

Hi,

I see i've now got a problem with the menu of the modules when i set the cursor above the arrow of the module to get the menu (width edit text, Import Content, ext) the module is not standing on the correct place it's 300 px to low and to much to the right.

how can fix this problem??

its a "known" issue if your skin uses absolute positioning for its formatting. There really is no way to get the solpartmenu option to work properly. But fear not there is a sidebar option. You can alter the html / ascx of the container to use [DROPDOWNACTIONS] instead of [ACTIONS]. This changes the solpartmenu for a basic dropdown listing menu. Function wise its has all the same options etc, but you have to pick the task from the dropdown and then press a "go" button. It's a bit annoying but will resolve the issue. It stems from how the solpartmenu is generated with javascript and tables, its hard for it to pinpoint the modules location when its in an absolute setting cause nothing is part of the document flow when absolute positioned.

We don't have too much information but the next major release of DNN suppost to have more menu options which might fix this till then though you have a solution. Let me know if you need more direction on how to swap to dropdownactions.
