Hi All...  We have a strange problem which I'm sure has to be something simple...

We have clients who insist on uploading files and creating folders via the FCK file utility... however, once you go into DNN's File Manger we can not see any folders or files made with FCK...  only thing I can assume is the FCK is not adding the right file info into the Folders/Files tables in the DB..  Sync does not make the files show up.

I've checked the records in tables Folders, FolderPermission and Files and they are putting the correct record regardless if I use FCK or file manager... just teh file manager won't display the ones made in FCK! But FCK can see folders made in File Manager...

PS... It appears as if it may only be 1 portal doing it... the rest seem to work good...   I'm so cornfused!  Help!

Matt,

please make sure to use File Manager in Admin menu, not Host menu, which displays shared portal files only.

Have you tried syncing the file system from within the file manager?

Hi Sebastian,

We are definitly using the Admin file manager and not the host.  We're now noticing a new issue... if, while in Admin/File Manager, we create a new folder, it doesn't show in Filemanager now, even after multiple sync attempts... it DOES however create the folder in the file system for that portal... all the correct windows securities intact...

it creates the entries in tables Folders and FolderPermission
