Hello and thank you in advance to anyone who can help me solve this problem.

I am using GoDaddy.com as my host site. I am continually able to reach the install step called "Run Database Installation Scripts".

The progress bar is displaying and I get the following text:

Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...Success
Upgrading Database to Version 4.4.1</object></layer></span></div></table></body></html><!-- adsok -->
<script language='javascript' src='https://a12.alphagodaddy.com/hosting_ads/gd01.js'></script>...

And after that, no matter how long I wait, nothing else happens.

I tried using multiple install versions of DotNetNuke. It is running in a virtual directory with all permissions (even though it may be unsafe).

Does anyone else have this problem or do you think you might know the cause?

Thanks for your help!
-Joel

I found the problem.

I was only using the free Hosting with Domain purchase until I decided that I wanted the site. With the free Hosting, their is a GoDaddy.com advertisement that gets automatically loaded as you view the page. And so that's where this came from:
/object></layer></span></div></table></body></html><!-- adsok -->
<script language='javascript' src='https://a12.alphagodaddy.com/hosting_ads/gd01.js'></script>...

It looks like you need to purchase a domain for it to work.

Thanks

Is there no way around this?

I doubt it. DNN will not install if something is injecting additional code into the process.

JK.
