Hi.

I hope this is in the right place, and that it isn't a question answered so many times previously, that it drives everyone crazy, but...

I have a site built, using Community Server's platform. I chose it because I wanted a single sign-on without bridging, which I found problematical. I am very attracted to DotNetNuke's way of doing things, especially the versatility.

Using DotNetNuke, is there any way to achieve something similar to what I have; ie: visitors may view photo galleries, forums, etc., but must login to post?

Is there a wy to have single sign-in?

Thanks for your consideration,

Steven

Sure.  But what do you mean by "single signon?"  DNN does support AD authentication if that's what you need.  But doesn't Community Server as well?

Jeff,

Please pardon me; I am a novice.

The Community Server site uses permissions, based on the visitors status (anonymous, registered, admin, etc.) , which allows the visitor access or not  to the features of the site.

I want to allow visitors, for example, to view the forums, but not to post without registration; to view galleries, but not to create one without registration.

My understanding was that CS has the advantage of integrating this well; but it has the disadvantage of being difficult for a non-tech person to change any functionality. Its latest version is even more complex, so I'm looking to possibly change to a more user-friendly platform.

Thanks,

Steven
