Hey all,

I run a website which is mainly composed of the DNN links module. It has about 200 links and about 50 pages however my database is exceeding 500mb. I don't know why my DB is so big. I have all of the standard DNN modules and some extra ones(Which I mostly do not use). I was looking to free up some DB space. Does anyone have any insight?

You could start by removing entries in the SiteLog and EventLog tables

To do so, go to Host --> SQL and execute the following statements

-----------------------------

truncate table sitelog

truncate table eventlog

-----------------------------

Also check for the Recovery Model (Database properties --> Options ) of the database.  Change it to Simple if not already been set.

Thanks! That freed up about 400mb of space for me. I would have had to buy more DB space if it wasn't for you.

I've wondered why a core Admin item wasn't a "database logs purge tool".  Purge anything over xx days old or the like.
