I have moved a website from one server to other server. I followed all the instructions in other threads for moving a dnn installation and website. But I have a few problems -

1) I am unable to access the website with http://localhost/My-Site-Name but i can access it if i specify the tabid of my home page appended to this string. So i'm able to access my website as http://localhost/My-Stie-Name?tabid=125 where 125 is my Homepage tabid.
2) After i login using admin user credentials, i'm unable to see the control panel at the top
3) I have a few pages on the website, the contents of some pages are visible while those of some other pages are not visible in any of the (left, content, right) panes.
4) Images on the pages are not visible.

I didn't have any of these problems on the previous server. I am new to dotnetnuke and don't know how to fix this. Please help.

Thank you,
Vishal

4) is most likely due to different local paths, if you are moving your DNN installation from an IIS web site into a virtual directory.

3) and 2) sounds like you have to restart your app (login as superuser ("host") and click restart in host settings

1) check the Homepage settings in site settings.

2,3 are resolved. Thanks a lot Sebastian.

For 4, image locations for all images in all the panes (left, right, center) gets wrong address. Ex:- It should be http://localhost/acuho-i/Portals/0/join.gif  instead of http://localhost/Portals/0/join.gif I have many such images on different panes of different pages, where do i have to make changes to correct this?

For 1, when i try to change Homepage settings as suggested (Admin -> Site Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Page Management -> Home Page -> "Home" (selected from drop down list)) I get the following error -

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: format ---> System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: format at System.String.Format(IFormatProvider provider, String format, Object[] args) at System.String.Format(String format, Object arg0) at DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.Exceptions.ProcessModuleLoadException(PortalModuleBase ctrlModule, Exception exc) in C:\Projects\Acuho-I\Library\Components\Exceptions\Exceptions.vb:line 121 at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.PortalManagement.SiteSettings.cmdUpdate_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument) at System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton.System.Web.UI.IPostBackEventHandler.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument) at System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(IPostBackEventHandler sourceControl, String eventArgument) at System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(NameValueCollection postData) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Please help. Thank you.
