I have seen some tutorials like making Survey Module, FAQ Module and etc. They are closely tied to DNN. However, I found Forum Module seems to be a standalone one as it doesn't even have a data access layer.

Can someone teach me the steps to complete a Forum Module?

Thanks in advance.

The forum module most certainly has a DAL. The module is also about as closely tied to DNN as any module can be. The only core interface the forum doesn't support is IPortable at this time. I am not sure what completion you are looking for, but I seriously doubt it can be taught here.

Thanks Crispy for the reply. I am really grateful as I didn't expect a reply for my laic question. What I mean is it doesn't have any controller, dataprovider in the dotnetnuke\Website\App_Code folder, whereby HTML, Survey modules have.
It is a huge module and for sure can't be explained here in details. Is it possbile that you just list down the steps to develop it.
