I've got a DNN 4.8.1 site using SQL2000.  Now I need to convert it to SQL2005.  I detached the database from SQL2000 and reattached it in SQL2005..... Isn't this all I have to do?

Now when I browse to the site, I get:

DotNetNuke Error: - Version 04.08.01

An error has occurred.
An error has occurred.

What have I done wrong?

Thanks for the help........

Found the problem..... wasn't with the database but with the code.  Something didn't get copied when I ftp'd the code, so I reinstalled the code file and now all is happy!

Can you outline exactly what you did to convert. I am considering doing this on a production system, but want to make sure it is done right.

there's not much to running a sql 2000 database in sql 2005 or 2008. Just detach the db in 2000 and attach it in the newer version. You should make sure that user access is correct though. There are some tools around to synchronise user accounts between different sql servers, check this blogpost for more info: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/1269/Migrating-databases-from-one-server-to-the-other.aspx
