I was studying the statistics for this forum and was wandering how there can be more contributing users than there are post in the forum.
I don't know if a new thread in counted as a post, but if you add the total threads there are still to many contributors.

When writing this post I also notice that in this editor there are two buttons in the upper left corner, both with the title Insert.

I have answered the stats question in these forums before.  basically, each user that hits the page signed in gets counted as a contributing user because they have been to the site and used it.
