Hi there

I am Very New to Dotnetnuke

I was setting up my DotnetNuke Portal and seem to be having trouble with the forums I can set the forums up but can't find out where to disable the control panel

and people can still post Threads if i try disabling the Control panel then user can't Post messages but enabling the control panel the user can post messages

but can still delete Modules and add modules plus delete pages  is there a way to change this as i would like my users to be able to Post Messages but not have

access to the control Panel

Mark

You can disable the toolbar in the general settings.  Settings to restrict permissisons are on Forum base, you can manage this in the Forum Manager.

Use the Forum Manual you can get from the Forge - Forum - Download page.

Hi Matthias,

Can you be more precise about where this manual is - maybe post a URL.  I just went to www.dotnetnuke.com, I clicked Forge (it gave me a list of most recently downloaded projects)  Even when I typed Forums into the "search for" box it didn't turn up anything about Forums.

Am I in totally the wrong place?

On the left side you see a list of all Modules in Forge - Click Module: Forum, then Klick Download on the left.    You must be logged in!

Thanks.

To help anyone searching for this information (as I have been) I'll add the text "How to find the documentation for the forum module"
