I have Configured store Catelog. The problem that I am facing is that When I assign a Picture to the Product and perform any action on the store product page, it causes me logged out from the system even though I am logged in as an administrator user.

Can any one guide me ?

How did you assign the picture? using fck editor or the file system? make sure that your file system object (in db) is accurately synchronized. The way to do this is by going to host->File System on top right side check the box named "recursive" and then click "sycn files", now on the same page in the left side where you see the folders list hit "sync folders". This will sync the host files; now for admin files (portal files) do exactly the same thing but this time using "admin->file system" menu.

Now, go to "host->site settings", "performance settings" click "clean cache"; if set up is on your local machine stop the website and delete all the files inside "portals\0 or whatever your portal number is\cache" directory. Now start the website, go back to "host -> site settings" and then hit "restart application".

Now close the browser instance. Open a new browser instance. Go to Store Admin, edit the product and re-assign the picture using "file on this system" option and by browsing the picture. (you have to make sure that on all the directory tree you have given permission to "all users" to read in the admin->file system page).

If this does not work, please provide exact steps of how did you assign the picture to the product and does the directory tree entirely has "read/view" permission set for "all users" where the picture is located.

A corrupt file system object can cause this issue, we stumbled across this issue just on 3/31 and we had to rebuild the "file system" object; in our case it got corrupted because the scheduler which is reponsible to sync the file system failed with a exception.

Above steps are valid for current store version under 4.8.1.

Sincerely,

I tried the steps but it didnot work. I am using the DNN 4.08. I have not upgraded it to 4.08.01 or 4.08.02.
Steps that i made in creating the Store pages.

My Portal (Child Portal) has a menu. Its Hirarchy is
ECommerce
            .........StoreAdmin

Permission on ECommerce page (All Users can view the pages. Administrator hav the View and Edit rights)
Permission on StoreAdmin page (Only Aministrator hav the View and Edit rights).

On Storeadmin page I have added the StoreAdmin Module.

On Ecommerce page I have added Store Menu module that displays the Product Categories. A Store Catelog module that displays the list of products and
Store Accounts Module that is used to checkout.

For the image of the product i have assigned an image (that I uploaded through the File system) in the Image section of the Product settings. When I update the Product It does not show me the image, It shows as Image not available or a X sign (that is normally used to show that image is not available) though I am logged in as an Admin user of the portal.when I go to the Ecommerce page and perform any action (like click the category, edit any item or add to basket or checkout etc ....)
It logged me out from the Portal. But when I logged in using the Host user it does not produce any problem. It displays the Picture of the product and perform any action successfully . it does not logged me out from the Portal.

Also in the File system the All Folders have View rights for All Users. Even If I assign Edit rights to All Users, it does not work.

One more thing when I perform these setting on my localhost it works fine. but when I put it on live Server, it causes the above problems.

Can you please advice me where I am geting wrong.

Regards,

Imran

Ahh.... Imran in your original post, you forgot to mention the most important point that you have implemented store module under "Child" portal and not the host portal. That is your issue. This is a known bug in current Store version.

Unfortunately, the fix for this issue is not directly available to download from dotnetnuke.com; just email us at dotnetnukesupportquery@umaisa.com with subject as "Store Child Portal Logout Fix", and our dotnetnuke support team will reply you with the free fix developed by Gilles.

Sincerely,
