First things first, thank you to everyone who has helped me out with answers to most of my questions.  I'm getting a lot better at this DNN stuff!

Now for my latest challenge.  The site I'm building is going to require paid memberships.  Is there a module available that allows someone to purchase a membership with a credit card or paypal account?  The user would need to fill out the membership form and also provide credit card information.  Then based on approval, their account would become active.  Is there anything built in DNN that would allow for this?

I know there is a store module, but that looks more like a complete e-commerce shopping cart solution, not just for memberships.  There will be a few other items on the site for sale as well, and from time to time, paid members may need to purchase more services.  I'm fearing that I am heading into the territory where a custom solution will be necessary, unless someone can point me to a module.  Even if it is a commercial one.

Thanks much!!!

Currently your options are limited, though Ventrian provides a really good one (and several other great modules to boot).  The one drawback with their module is that it doesn't currently support recurring subscriptions.  I am in the process of writing my own module to handle subscriptions (have a "hack" version based on Ventrian being used by one of my clients right now, but I want to build a completely new version), couldn't really say when mine will be available though based on timing constraints with other projects.  Other options are GumboSoft, Inventua, and a few others.  You can look on SnowCovered.com and search for "subscriptions" or "paypal".

I think the best one out of your options will be Ventrian though, unless you need recurring.

If you didn't find any of theirs to be adequate, I could push up my schedule for producing the one I'm working on... let me know.

Fooberichu,

Thanks for the tips on where to look, what do you think about this one:
http://www.snowcovered.com/snowcovered2/Default.aspx?tabid=242&PackageID=5139

It seems to handle paid registrations via credit card or eCheck, plus handles recurring charges.  They use Transfirst as a credit card processor I believe.

Thanks,
SuperDMon

I haven't used (or heard) of this one before so I'm not qualified to give a suggestion.  It sounds like it will do what you need but it does require you to use Transfirst -- if you're ok with that, then no problems there.

Good luck.
