Hi,

i'm moving the dnn project from one server to another one. So i'm trying to make it work in my locahost too..

so i updated the web.config

 <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=localhost;Database=db;uid=test;pwd=test123;" />

but still its taking the values from the live site. i mean the HTTPAlias in the ProtalAlias table in live server and clicking onthe links redirecting to that location.

any idea what to be done or where to change... please help me on this...

sajith,

When you move a DNN site from one server to another, after you have reset the database credentials you will need to create a new portal alias entry that reflects the new URL that you are using -- for example http://localhost/DotNetNuke_2. Have you done this already?

So you can type in the URL of your site and it works - but when you are clicking on the links it does not work?
