I have a 4.8.2 fresh install on IIS6 2k3 server and sql 2005 on another. I did not have any problems installing; however, while making changes on the site (host, and portal) the changes dont show up right away. If I click on refresh, it takes a few times and finally it comes through.  Even when adding pages, the name does not appear on the menu bar unless I click on another page or refresh a few times. I am using the default skins and modules. This is actually the second time I have installed with the same results, the first time I just thought the install was bad.

Any suggestions?

This is something related to the way that caching works in DNN.  The browser refresh doesn't always truly refresh the content, it relies on previously downloaded content, you can also be affected by core caching items.

In your performance settings what do you have set for Authenticated Cacheability?
