dear all

i am using DNN0408 version website...
these are my portal aliases in DNN site

localhost
www.afticom.com:8000  
www.afticom.com:8000/default.aspx 
www.afticom.com


I am using  windows server 2003 and IIS V 6 ....

In iis i have website  folder named www.afticom.com

i am using port no 8000.our machine is working as a hosting server..

if i will access my web like  http://www.afticom.com:8000/home.aspx

my web will come.........

but if i  access my web like http://www.afticom.com:8000 it is changing to local host.my web is not coming.........

in iis ,  documents page is default.aspx

 can anybody check these links and tell me what is the pblm behind this.

I would look to ensure that your file permissions are correct, and that you are allowing anonymous access...

The error that is given when default.aspx is loaded is a 403 forbidden error.

yah i gave all permission .........
i deleted localhost from my portal alias

now my portal aliases are

www.afticom.com:8000
www.afticom.com
www.afticom.com:8000/home.aspx

now can u check these links

http://www.afticom.com:8000


2nd case internet explorer cannot display webpage error is coming
what is the problem behind this...

other doubt is in iis documents tab my page name is default.aspx.....
but http://www.afticom.com:8000/default.aspx link is also giving me error

but
http://www.afticom.com:8000/home.aspx is working...

can u check these links and guide me what i want to do????pls........

Make sure Home.aspx is a default document in IIS for the site.  Same for Default.aspx if you use it.

If you are using a port number eg :8000, you need to go to your web.config and make sure that the line:

< add key="UsePortNumber" value="true" / >

Is in your web.config, and is not commented out.  It should be at the bottom of the < appSettings > section.
