Well, anything is possible with dnn, but if you want to be more specific

  • Possible with dnn using core modules only: No
  • Possible with dnn using 3rd party modules: possibly yes with one of the forms module
  • Possible with custom made modules: definitely

What do you call this type of database listing module? They're not seperate webpages, this much I do know:

1. They're entered into a form to create a listing.

2. They're generated from the database into a row, column and card view like the one in the beginning.

3. and The listings have a link to them that open up a detailed view of the single listing within the module.

I don't want to buy a dotnetnuke module yet, I'm just asking how to start making a database listing module and what is it called?

what you are looking for is a typical multi-control module with edit form, list and details form. UDT is a samply, but it does not display all three controls on the same pate at the same time, you can show the list, linking to the detail view and edit form. there are 3rd party commercial modules, that comes with additional option, my company is currently finishing such a flexible module with a number of additional options, please drop me an email (leupold (at) gamma-concept.de), if you are interested in details.

How could you upload an excel file or csv file into UDT that creates new records that contains all the data to be imported into the required fields?
