now it looks like this

 <tr valign="top">
            <td width="188" class="LeftPane"><div runat="server" ID="LeftPane" Visible="False"></div></td>
            <td width="510" class="ContentPane"><div runat="server" ID="ContentPane"></div></td>
            <td  class="RightPane"><div runat="server" ID="RightPane" Visible="False"></div></td>
          </tr>

but anyways if the left and right panes are not filled then center pane takes place of the left and right panes, which I don't want I want it always to stay in not more than 510 pixels... what shoud I do to make all panes stay in it's size no mater if it is filled or empty .

the table size is 884 pixles....

DNN Auto collapses empty panes, but an easy work around a bunch of people use, is to put a placeholder image in a cell at the bottom of the container, and then they place an image inside the cell in the skin. The image is typically the same color as the background or uses 100% transparency etc. Thusly its invisible but DNN can't shrink the pane smaller then the image's dimensions. Another trick is to put a html module inside the left and right pane, and don't display the container, since the pane has content it won't collapse.

thank you !!! I think I will try to use the html first...

the problem I have now that even with the content on left pane center pane's content is larger and pushing left pane's content to look narrower than it should...

Yeah it happens, go with the spacer option, just add an extra table row in your table column for the left pane and insert a blank image that has the dimensions you want the left pane to remain.
