Hi

I would very much like to be able to have some modules not show up in the module list.
My reasoning is that this can easily become full of modules that admins ought not or should not put on a page.

Am I right in thinking that by making a module premium it can then only be applied to a page by the host and, if so, is this an acceptable technique?

IMO: We need a way to remove some modules from the list.
I would also like a way to stop a modules deletion from a page by anyone but the host - I am terrified that one day an admin will delete say an events module and delete the data with it.

Thanks

Ian

Making a mofule premium just dictates what portals will have it as an item in the available modules dropdown list. Logging in as host doesn't override this behavior.

One nice trick is to limit the number of module instances of a particular module by dropping one onto a page, then removing it from the module list by making it premium. I do this on occasion when wanting to limit a site to a single instance of a module such as those deasling with press releases, blogs, events, forums, etc.

HI achooyeah

Thanks for your reply and for the "trick"  very helpful.

I do think we need a "built in" way to have some control over the module list.
