The Notification works so in 3.x version, we changed it by userrequests.  In old versions the poster di not get a notfication, but this was wanted by mostly users.  Think we want not re-change this.

Matthias,

if the change to have a user notified of their own post when subscribing was done on purpose, I think it should be a configuration option.

I know that if I have subscribed to threads here on DotNetNuke (when it actually starts working) I don't want to get 50+ e-mails a day letting me know that I posted to my own thread....

I don't see why there would be any point, or any request for a user to be notified of a post that they just made, they just did it, they know its there....

As for the issues that the orig poster made, I'm guessing that the difference is that some have subscribed to the entire forum group, if they did that it will work, but at this time with the current forum version individual thread options do NOT send notifications, just like here at DotNetNuke.com.

Mitch,

I obviously couldn't say it better myself.  Mathias, I cannot for the life of me understand why you would want extra email cluttering your inbox.  You did the action, why do you need to be notified about it?  Definately a cool and ambitious module, but some of the little details are going to drive away my users. (things like not being able to post the embed pics from all the major picture hosting sites, not being able to include a youtube video without a bunch of hassle in the html, not getting notifications properly, and the occasional tendancy for the forum to just lock the users out and they have to go through and reset their notification status).  I am worried that I am just going to drive my users to my competitors...

Oh, and how do I add custom smileys to the FCK editor in the forum.  Users want the cute little smileys with signs, animation and whatnot.  I have asked in the FCK provider section, but no one answers.

I don't know how.  Iam not so far with the FCK editor provider.  Sorry.
