Hi!

I have just installed dnn 4.8.2 and I cannot find the windows authentication option. It seems that something changed and I missed it!

Can anybody help?

What I need to have is standard windows integrated authentication.

Hi Dmitris,

If you don't have "Authentication" on your Admin menu (make sure your screen is taking enough of the window to see the whole Admin menu), then you might not have the provider installed.

Have a look at the Host Settings on the Host menu.  You might need to download the provider from this site.  From the authentication docs:

1. Log into your portal using an account with Host credentials.

2. Select Host Settings from the Host menu items.

3. Expand Authentication Settings.

4. Select “Install New Authentication Provider”.

5. Browse to the location on your computer that you saved the AD Provider .zip file

and click “Next”.

6. Read the accompying license and check “Accept License” if you agree with it.

7. Click “Next”. This will start the DotNetNuke Package Assembly Installer process.

Post back if you're still having trouble, it's a friendly group.

Thanks Roberta,

I thought that this provider was installed by default with a new installation.

Works fine!
