I got if fixed but the form does not allow me to post the solution... I do not know why.

I had the same Problem in 3XX and 4XX...

I have XP and SP 2 with all the latest updates + 1.1 and 2 Frameworks
I found this script on the net and even though it says it is for framework 1 only I did it anyway:

I had to rem one line that checked if you have anything else than 1.1.4322 Installed as I wanted it to run anyway
The line is:
if exist %SystemRoot%\microsoft.net\framework\v1.1.4322\mscorlib.dll goto v11_installed

Look at http://www.asp.net/faq/ms03-32-issue.aspx

After this script I ran "aspnet_regiis -i" On the Framework 2 Command promt (this is to RE install the Framework) and restarted IIS with "iisreset"

I then Re checked the Security settings (Permitions for ASPNET User) on the directories and All was OK

Hope this help!!!

I don't think the neels2ester's solution is of any help, since I cannot run anything on the hosting company's server. I finally got them to install .net v2.0 and configure the folder as an application, and once I copy all the install files into this folder, all I get is "Server Application Unavailable" and nothing else... (the install process hasn't been taking place yet) Is there anything someone could put in plain English as of what is causing the error, so if I finally catch the only person who is authorised to make changes on Windows server at my hosting company, I could tell him what to do for this problem to go away.

On the other hosting company I have occasional "Server Application Unavailable" apperances on two or three portals I have installed, but I haven't noticed that on the rest of them.

Also I'm having some permission issues; after installing the portals I end up giving FULL CONTROL permission to EVERYONE in order to be able to install it, since it starts barking that cannot access web.config, also I'm unable to upload and install skins and modules, and delete files from within the portal if I didn't set /portals/ permissions to FULL CONTROL  for EVERYONE.

Thanks in advance,

Val
