I have copied my production DNN SQL database to a test server, recreated the virtual web on the test server, and copied the site files to the test server as well. I updated the web.config with the path to the test database. But I receive:

HTTP Error 401.3 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to an ACL set on the requested resource.

when I navigate to the site. What are the most likely candidates in my configuration that could cause this issue? Thanks!

Rob, is this with one of the providers installed or just a plain jane DNN install?

Sorry--this is with the AD Provider installed (the last published version before v1). I have a feeling that the provider has something locked down but I'm not sure.

If you comment out <add name="Authentication"..../> in the <httpModules> section of your web.config and also comment out any impersonation lines that you're using in your web.config that'll remove the AD provider from the equation. If you're still getting errors then we can go from there.

Please disregard...I think there is something wrong in the virtual web itself. I recreated it from scratch and things seem to be headed in the right direction. As always your responsiveness and willingness to help astounds me. Thanks Mike!
