im new DNN user.
after i searched a lot of information i still can't add a banner in the page. Can anyone help?

Here's detail:

1. [admin setting]-->[site setting]-->[basic setting]-->[Site Marketing]-->[banners]--> select {site} botton
2. creat a vendor from the host and admin bothly (since i confused which should i created both), i key in the in [other setting]im new DNN user.

2. creat some vendor from the host and admin bothly (i confused which one is right so i created them both), [other setting],key in the website for banner's link.[authorized] selected,upload a logo
3. go back to home,from contro panel, add a banner
4. now my problem is i can't find where to indentify banner's picture and link even i searched in setting long times.

I am unsure if banners is different in 4.8 over 4.5 ?

In your vendores file open the banner, and you should see it displayed at the top. you have chosen banner group which is fine, in the group name type a name of a group you would like to create, for example you may choose to call the group ( LEFTPANEL or FRONTPAGE OR MYFROGPROMO ) or any group name that suits. What this does is alows you to add other banners to that group by adding new banners and assisnging it to the same group if you wish.

Once you have done this move to the page you wish to place the banner onto, Select the banner module from your module list and add this to your page, then in edit banner mode, you have the choice to set the banner specs, in here one of the options is the grup name, so here type the name you allocated in the vendore file for example LEFTPANEL or whatever you used, from there you can also select the number of banners to display and other options if needed.

nUumber 4, was not working last time i read on this, so just skip it. Number 5 is where you need to place the image or text that runs in the banner, open it up and create a new banner, then in there upload your image from file and or use one of the many options available, name the group as discussed then save. re open if you like to check all is there, once done then return to your banner module and use the group name and all should be good.

In vendors if stuck try the live help to link through to the different banner options ( i cant get to it right now sorry )
