Yeah, that was the behavior I recalled seeing as well.  However, authentication was pretty seriously shaken up around 4.7, so it's still possible that there is a version issue.  Until we hear back from Mark, my best guess is still that the HomeTabId has been set.

Whether DNN should redirect to the HomeTabId after successful login is another question entirely.

Hi Guys,

Sorry I didn;t reply for a while, my laptop is in the shop getting the processor fan replaced.

With regard to the setting of redirect  on login etc. They are all blank, no specific redirects set. This is the settign I assumed that would keep me on this page. But it didn't.

I will try to debug the code you suggest, but I will need to wait for the service centre to return my laptop. They say this could be another week!

Thanks for you help so far.

Hi Excuse me if this is the wrong place for this post or if this is unrelated to this thread. Perhaps you can point me in the right direction (fairly new to this). I have been researching how you can redirect a user on login to a specific page. I do not mean ALL users are directed to a specific page in the redirect on login. I mean different users login and are redirected to a specific page customised for them only. I have seen a number of people claiming they can do it through you having to purchase subscriptions or very expensive modules. Surely this is something that can be done with DNN out the box. Any assistance please?
