I upgraded to DNN 4.8.2 a week ago and everything seems to work fine except for the File manager.  Logged in as the host, when I open the Files menu option, the directory tree on the left of the display is blank and only the files in the root of the site are listed.  Internet Explorer is reporting an error on the page of which the details indicate  Line 1255, Char 1 - "Object doesn't support this property or method."  and the Previous button is available.  When I check the Previous error, it says Line 261, Char 36 - "Expected ';'"

Is this a known issue?  Also, I have read other forum comments that indicate it is okay to rebuild the files, folders, and folderpermission tables by deleteing their records and then syncrhonizing the files again.  Is this correct?  Is it required to actually move the files from the file system in advance of this?

you can delete files and folders entries only, if you are upgrading from DNN 4.0.x or previous, otherwise you might loose a number of internal links to them.

Did you make sure, that both connection string in web.config are identical?

I have the same issue. Only after deleting files and folders entries, the File manager work correctly. The other problem was all the internal links breaks. Too painful to update the internal links.

Isn't there any other better ways of doing this?
