I need help!

My platform is DotNetNuke v.4.8.2 running on Vista Ultimate, using MS SQL Server v2005, and VS v2008.  After the initial page is loaded, it allow me to signon using the default user "admin" and password, and asks me to change the password, but never logs in.  Doesn't login in as 'admin', "host' or any name I register with.  I've never had this trouble before, but always used SQLExpress before.  Could it be my IE7 settings, SQL permissions, or what?  I've tried everything, I'm lost.  Can anyone help?

I assume, there is either trouble with your local browser cookies for the site or the machine key got altered, when DNN was unable to access the database. If in the second case you do not have a backup, you can regain host access following this procedure: http://www.deutschnetnuke.de/tabid/183/Default.aspx
