Hi,

I downloaded the source of the core announcements module of DNN. I opened the project/solution in Visual Studio 2005 (Full Installation) and an error pops up saying that the project cannot be opened. "The project type is not supported by this installation".  I'm really new here.. Am I missing something? Really need your help.

Thanks.

Announcements is a Web Application Project (WAP). You need to have VS SP1 or the WAP extension installed.

Thanks Hooligannes, took note of that one and I got that one installed.  I did some small changes with the code and all i have to do now is to build it and test it.  However, i could see that the module has dependencies because whenever I try to build the project, about 100+ errors come up.  Could you provide me with some links/tutorials that could help me in making a successful build.  I'm new to module development and I'm not so familiar with the procedures or configurations that i have to consider.

Thanks again!
