I'm trying to install DNN 4.8.2 on a web farm that runs IIS7.

They want me to add these  lines to the web.config file:

<configuration>
<system.web>
<identityimpersonate="true"userName="stabletransit\YourManageUserName"password="YourManagePassword"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Obviously, I insert my username and password in the lines.

And so, I get the error: Configuration file is not well-formed XML

Anyone else see this problem?

I am working through a web farm set up but am still a novice.

The xml error could be because there is no spaces between your elements.

<identity impersonate="true" userName="DOMAIN\user" password="mypass"/>

You dont have any spaces .. or is that just a formatting bug in this forum, hard to tell!  Anyway it should be identity impersonate (etc) with a space between each part.
