We have had a client, using DNN 4.8.0, who complained that clicking on the event listed in the month view calendar didn't do anything.  We realized it was because he only tried clicking on the date above the event title, and not on the title itself.  Clicking on the date doesn't do anything but refresh the page and make that date have a red border.

What we want to do is to make it so that the date itself is either not a clickable link, or else goes directly to the event listed on that date (or first event if there are multiple).  Looking through the files in the Events folder under Desktop Modules didn't yield any obvious spot to edit to accomplish this goal.

Any help will be appreciated.

Open EventMonth.ascx. Look for "<dnn:DNNCalendar ..."

Add the following property: SelectionMode="None" just before the closing ">" of this tag (second line). That should do the trick.

I do wonder whether the click on the date is there for historical reasons, it can be useful for admins I think, not sure about others. In any case....

If you change:-
