Hello

I have installed New Dotnetnuke 4.82 on MSSQL Express database.
Clean installation, with no any third party modules, there is only default module that i need.

Any administration of site, like adding new pages, edit html, working with File Manager, Menaging User Defined Table etc.
is sooo slow. Any action of updateing, configure of settings of modules is about 1 minute.

Ther is no reported eny errors, but i must wait 1 minute for any click for action ends...

Speed of browsing site is normal ....

I'm having a similar problem on my site. Although the site in general isn't all that flash the Admin pages are horrible to use. I have the same version of DNN and a fully fledged MSSQL server. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Slow admin pages are normally caused by slow database response, since admin views aren't cached. Did you check your database and the size of the transaction log?

I thought so at first but then I made up my own DB speed test module. Runs a query in the DB and displays time taken to execute. It often runs in 15 to 60ms. My DB stats are...

Used database file 17.25 MB
Used transaction log file 3.06 MB

ok, you need to investigate more in detail:

  • which process takes most CPU?
  • if it is SQL you need to analyse, which Db call causes the slowdown.
