The DNN Events module team is proud to announce the availability of a Beta version of the Events module version 04.00.00.

The objective of the new release of Events module 04.00.00 is to upgrade the module to DNN 4.x (ASP.NET 2.0) and solve all reported bugs. The development of the production version is in it's final stage.

We have created a special DNN site for this beta version: www.DNNEvents.net

We invite all who are interested to have a look and a thorough test of this new release. People who are interested can register themselves at this site. After registration you will receive access to the PA pack, complete source of the project, release notes and a test script of this new version of the Events module. Please read the introduction at www.DNNEvents.net carefully before beginning testing.

This is a great Event!

New beta release of Events module, RC1

Last week, work has been done by the Events module team to create a new beta release of the upcoming Events module version 04.00.00. Although we received no new issues from the beta testers, the Events module team did find a few glitches.

In addition to corrections, a major improvement has been realized: the need for friendly URL's has been removed from the module! This was a major change to the code, and we kindly request all to test the workings of this beta, to be known as Release Candidate 1.

We have build this version against DotNetNuke 04.05.05, so the Events module should work from this DNN version and up.

The beta site contains a complete list of all issues solved with this version: 45 issues have been covered! We think it is becoming a very stable version of Events Module.

Login and see for yourself on www.DNNEvents.net

Test cases module available for Events beta testers

We have installed the DNN TestCases module on our beta site and made this module available to all who have registered as beta testers (more then 80 registrations as of now).

Please provide feedback on everything your have tried so far. The Events module team is really looking for feedback, we all can profit from your experiences. The more feedback we get, the better the result will be. And we are not only interested in problems. If you have tried something with the new Events module and the result is OK, please mark your findings in the test cases module.

Since the test module page provide on-line information and feedback, the need for a separate test script has disappeared. So has the test script file on the download.

Click on this link to go to the Test cases page, select <My Results> in the selection box for "Whose result?" and show us your findings.

New release candidate of Events module: RC2

The Events team. with help of some testers, did find some very small issues (mostly lay-out related) on Events RC1 from 20080429. Therefore we decided to create Release Candidate 2 (RC2) and make it available to every beta tester. We have the impression that this is (again) a very stable, well tested version.

We expect RC2 to be the same as the release version of Events 04.00.00, unless of course, major bugs are found on this release candidate.

We have build this version against DotNetNuke 04.05.05, so the Events module should work from this DNN version and up.

The beta site contains the release notes, with a complete list of all issues solved with this version since events 03.03.08: 49 issues have been covered! We think it is becoming a very usable version of Events Module.

We have installed the DNN TestCases module on our beta site and made this module available to all who have registered as beta testers (more then 155 registrations as of now).

A new Release candidate has been made available at www.DNNEvents.net.

Member of the Events team could not resist to add some additional features to the upcoming Events module release. Most notably: the support of Partial Rendering (AJAX), which should make paging in the week of month control much quicker and more smoothly.

We expect RC3 to be the same as the release version of Events 04.00.00, unless of course, major bugs are found on this release candidate. We aim at putting this RC3 as release version to the DotNetNuke release tracker on May 15, so we will stop with enhancements on this version  (which is difficult, because we have so many ideas that could be implemented...)
