hai,

i want help in using DotNetNuke_04.08.00. i developed one new module with it. but im unable to load that module in panes in my page.

but still that created new module is list out in module selection combo. after applied that new module its not  coming in my page.

i followed all rules and steps as per the instructions. but i couldnt get the output window. please give some solution for that...

- if you go to the Host->Module Definitions page..

1) do you see your module listed?
2) if you click on the edit icon to edit the definition, do you have at least one control defined at the bottom of the page?
3) assuming you have a control defined.. edit that control .. is the control source pointing at the proper .ascx file, is it setup as "View"? is the Key blank? those value will define the .ascx user control that will be displayed by default when your module is rendered  in a pane.

Thanks for reply... Please see the below details and give the solution.

1.  In Host-> Module Definition page, All My modules also listing. i have tried to create 3 different new modules

  1. Guest book, 2. Registration, 3. ToDoTaskList

Edit [Skin Objects] Skin Objects are User Controls which can be used to provide custom functionality to your Skin files.  
Edit Account Login Allows users to login to the portal. 01.00.00
Edit Banners Banner advertising is managed through the Vendors module in the Admin tab. You can select the number of banners to display as well as the banner type. 01.00.00
Edit Feed Explorer Allows users to browse RSS feeds using a tabbed user interface 01.00.00
Edit Google Adsense Allows you to create Google Adsense ads on your site 01.00.01
Edit Guest Book Guest Book 01.00.00
Edit Links This module renders a list of hyperlinks. Links includes an edit page, which allows authorized users to edit the Links data stored in the SQL database. 03.03.07
Edit MarketShare The DotNetNuke MarketShare affiliate program provides you with the ability to generate 10% commission on gross product sales through direct referrals to the DotNetNuke Marketplace. 01.00.00
Edit Registration Fi-es Andromeda Registration Module 01.00.00
Edit Search Input The Search Input module provides the ability to submit a search to a given search results module. 01.00.00

Edit Text/HTML This module renders a block of HTML or Text content. The Html/Text module allows authorized users to edit the content either inline or in a separate administration page. The content is stored in the database. According to module settings, tokens can be used, that get replaced during display. 04.06.01
Edit ToDoTaskList ToDoTaskList 01.00.00
Edit User Account Allows users to register and manage their account. 01.00.00

2. By click on the edit icon to edit the definition, i can see 3 control defined at the bottom of the page

Edit SettingsRegistration SettingsRegistration DesktopModules/Registration/Settings.ascx
Edit ViewRegistration ViewRegistration DesktopModules/Registration/ViewRegistration.ascx

 3. By clicking edit that control, i can see all the details with proper .ascx file,  and its setup type is "View", and its key is not blank, and its defined in .ascx user control.












But, still i couldn't load that modules in any one of the panes in my Pages.

Please reply...

the Key for your default view, which appears to be ViewRegistration should be blank
