Where is your server? Is it a Microsoft based operating system? Do you have SQL server installed?

I have SQL we are going through GoDaddy so that is where I Updated it. I've read that there are some problems with GoDaddy... but I was reading this site spencerteck.com/WalkThroughsGuides/DNNGodaddycomRoot/tabid/80/Default.aspx  the problem I am running into now is at this step

1.  Open web.config in your favorite editor such as Notepad or Notepad++

I do not know where the web.config file is located and they do not explain that there.

The web.config file is in the root of the DNN website. Can you FTP to the /dnn folder on godaddy, I believe Godaddy usually puts everything into the /dnn folder if they set it up.
