I have a site that is built on the Repository module, http://www.deopolis.com.  Howe ver, it loads very slow.  One suggestion for speeding load time is to actually create thumbnail files during image upload.  That way when you display images in the repository, you don't have to go back to the database server every time to load a thumbnail.  But that wouldn't work because thumbnail widths could be changed down the road and then you'd have to recreate them all manually.

My solution would be to alter MakeThumbnail to receive the file name of the image instead of the image tabID+moduleID+imageID.  If the thumbnail doesn't exist already or is wrong width, then recreate it that one time.  If it exists then just send it without hitting the database every time.

I just discovered why the site was taking so long to load.  I migrated my site to a new server, and the repository module stores full paths of the image folders in the module settings.  Does it have to be full path, or can it be relative?

I corrected the full paths and now the site is lightning fast.  I love the module!

I would like to see the thumbnails take you to the URL.  Also, is there a better way to setup the links so that Google knows what you are linking to?  Right now, the URLs are javascript functions that go back and update the hit count.  Is there a way, like AJAX to update the hit count, without intercepting the <a href> click event?

GrandOpus,

Nice site, I like the clean look. Did you make the logo yourself?  (I need to have a logo made for our site)

I agree that it would be nice if the image link could be configured to go to the URL. Maybe in the May enchancement release?

I also have a Directory of websites made with the Repository at http://www.faktnet.com I added your site to the "Religion" category.

My design is a bit different than yours and I use Custom Attributes. All the sites in my Directory are DotNetNuke based websites (getting close to 500 sites). If you or others know any nice, cool, inspirational DNN based websites please let me know.

You can suggest a website on the site, register and add websites yourself or just send me a mail paul.solheim@faktnet.com

Thank you very much!  Yes, I did the logo myself.  I'd be happy to give your logo a try if you like.

Nice template.  I haven't explored the Custom Attributes, but was planning on experimenting with those.
