Hi,

Can anyone solve the erro I am getting when trying to install DNN? I have created the virtual directory in a separate app pool and give the Netwrok Services user full rights to the directory.

You might try resetting the permissions to apply to all files below the directory you configured.

Are you running in a medium trust environment?

The issue seems to be related to the website being created on a share! As soon as we moved the site onto the physical server and changed the virtual dir to point to that it worked.

Is there a problem with using .net virtual dirs that point to a share drive? In thhis case the share was created with the $ sign i.e. a hidden share.

Any ideas?

yes, it's an asp.net issue, not dotnetnuke. If you're trying to run code off a network share then you'll need to grant the correct permissions via the .net framework 2.0 configuration applet in your administration tools or else use caspol (http://blogs.msdn.com/shawnfa/archive/2004/12/30/344554.aspx)
