hi all, i am attempting to develop modules for dnn4... however, i'm encountering some issues with compilation in vs2005.... i'll freely admit that this most likely is rooted in my lack of knowledge with the whole "app_code" directory... i've been able to create modules within a dnn4 solution using the provided starter kits... however, the resulting assemblies have the "app_code" prefix attached... my desire is to create modules within dedicated projects and, using a web deployment project, compile the project into a single, user-named assembly... i have attempted to create modules outside of the dnn project, but have had absolutely no luck... even with a web control that has nothing more than static "hello world" on it, it fails to appear after being added to a page/tab... no errors appear in any log, and the module appears in the modules list and definitions without errors... in the database, the new module appears with a tabid and moduleid after assignment... but again, the module just never appears - not even a container... what am i missing here?... is developing inside the dnn project the only approach?...

thanks for your time

You might want to read this post in Scott Guthries blog. It is now possible to have web application projects again...

Haven't yet tried it myself, but looking forward to. Tutorials look very clear.
