I found that my feedback module will display error time information.

The actual time is 5/11 AM 04:05 in Taiwan. (+8 Hrs)

But the feedback message is 5/10/2008 3:53:04 PM

The time difference is about 12 hours.

Doesn't anybody know what happened?

I am in Taiwan and I am using the sharing host plan is USA.

Thank you~~

Eric,

  • what is time zone of the server location?
  • what is time zone setting of the portal?
  • what is time zone setting of the accessing user?

Cheers from Germany,

I am not sure the time zone of the server, but I set the users time zone to +8 from the Plesk control panel. (It uses smart mail.)

The portal & user's time zone in DNN I have set to +8 already...

The e-mail time I received from gmail is correct...

Only the display time from the feedback list is incorrect...

I'm having the same problem.  I checked the timezone settings in DNN and it is set to Central time.
The times in the feedback are showing 2 hours before what they should be.  So, if I send a feedback at 6:58am the feedback list/report shows 4:58am.

It looks as though the feedback module is reading the system time and not accounting for the time zone set up in DNN config.

I think that because I am in Central time zone, we are in Daylight Saving, and the server is in Arizona.  They don't recognize Daylight Saving.

That would put us 2 hours apart which is what the report shows.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks -- David
