Mike have you written anything on how you put references in from one WSP module to another?  The only way I've done it in the past is in Visual Studio's solution explorer to right click and add a reference and browse to the .dll.  Then I'd use an Imports statement in the code and compile.  Any idea how this is done with a WSP module referencing another WSP module?

One other question, I used the starter kit download for my local coding DNN environment instead of downloading the source version.  I'm under the impression that I can code and create new modules with this version.  That shouldn't be limiting me should it?

I have not done any tutorial other than the one link I posted earlier in this thread. I don't develop using WAP. Also I do not know if the Starter Kit will allow you to use WAP. It may but I do not know.

Mike, I finally got around to trying that Module Upgrade Wizard to port my DNN4 WAP module over to DNN4 WSP format....and it worked like a charm.  I just created a folder called DesktopModules and then put my source code in there and the wizard did the rest.  Thanks for sharing that...it saves a lot of time.  Just like your tutorial says...it only takes a couple minutes to clean up the small errors left over.

Now if I can just figure out how to add references in my WSP modules.  I have a custom module and I want to call a method from another custom module.  Both modules are in WSP format.  How do I add the reference?  Surely there must be a way to do this otherwise I can't imagine anybody would use WSP format.

You don't add a reference because they are in the same project. It is simply a class to be called. Careful however, The class that you are calling must be listed first in the web.config App code section because that is the order they are compiled in.
