I am monitoring our current Intranet site using DotNetNuke and it, on a daily basis, runs the server to 100% CPU usage. When I use perfmon to check out the thread count, last time it was at a staggering 1505 threads. Last week I watched it grow from 100 to 300 in about 10 minutes. It stagnated at about 320, but continued to grow a tad.

Does anyone else have issues with DNN not killing threads properly? Is there some way to research the root or monitor it in such a way that we can alleviate the problem before it eats up the server's CPU?

Thanks!

There are various ways to look at this, do you have any third party modules installed?  Can you associate a spike in usage with the execution of a specific scheduled task, such as the Search Indexer?
