Hi:

I just installed DNN 4.8 on a dedicated windows 2003 server.  After the install completed I find that I can access the site using http://localhost but I cannot access it from another workstion using http://machinename.  Is there something I should be doing after the install in order to enable the site to be accessed from non-local machines?

Thanks.

You'll need a portal alias entry for the machine name.  Admin -> Site Settings -> Add New HTTP Alias.

Hi Jeff:

Thanks for the response.  I tried that before I posted the original question but unfortunately, that didn't seem to help.  I'll appreciate any other ideas you may have.

Thanks.
