YIkes! Can someone help me? Here's the thing... I was trying to get the SMTP mail server to take a test email and when the hosting company suggested I turn off any authentication. Ok, blonde self turned off ALL authentication boxes in the Site Settings. What would it hurt?

Uh, well, only now it won't let me log back in the site!

How do I get around this?

There's gotta be a way, right?

Oh please! Oh please!

HELLLLLLLLLPPP!

Hi Marianne

I can guarantee you're not the first person to do this one. (face turns red)

Mike Horton suggested that I find my user account in the Users table and change the IsSuperUser field to TRUE. Magically, I got my Host and Admin menus back. Don't forget to re-enable your authentication. I wonder if your mail provider meant SMTP authentication?

The other option of course is to start again...

HTH

Mike
