As the person who posted the message calling for old-fashioned apologies from all parties, let me express my sincere thanks to Charles Nurse for doing so as a representative of DNN Core.
Now let's also hear from the folks from PowerDNN. How about another good old-fashioned apology as well for any missteps, miscommunications, etc? How about also a public commitment in the future to adhere to any and all of the security policies established by the DNN Community as a group all working together?
Meanwhile, I also called for everybody working together to solve problems. I am encountering issues with the membership provider and user manager. See my separate posts in the Configure It forum whereby I report that verification emails are being sent without the necessary verification codes for a new user to log in successfully.
I have also discovered other issues related to the appearance and image of "security", if not substance of security, and I will report these separately and privately to DNN Core. Lets all continue to work as diligently as we can through proper channels to improve both the substance and the appearance of security for everybody's benefit, and that means the entire community.
So PowerDNN guys, step up to the plate, and offer your public apology as well, and please state your public commitment to work with DNN Core Team per published security policies.
