You guys have done a terrific job ironing out issues in the event module. In my opinion, the events module is second only to the text/html module. For the next version, I want to encourage the team to consider a few items--some of which I am confident you are thinking of.

(1) How about a template style system for the display of events in the month view. Everyone likes to display their events differently it seems. Some like the little arrow icon by each image, some may want to change it. Some like the start and end dates, I only like the start date to appear.

[ICON] [START] - [END] [EVENTNAME]

(2) How about flexibility in the same way with the way the event list displays as well. I would like to display a list of events in a variety of ways. For example, it would be good to display the next seven days of events by day.

Monday
Tuesday
-7:00 am Meeting.
-10:00 am Board of Partners.
Wednesday
Thursday
etc.
etc.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Templating all detail displays is (high) on our list for the next version. See: EVT-7386

We have to rethink the way to display a a current week or so. Your suggestions are nice and will be taken into account.

Here's a wish list from my company

 • Allow individual private events
 • publish events to ical/caldav (multiple insatances)
 • subscribe to ical/caldav streams
 • allow rss subscripton of agenda view, select events can be supressed from public rss feed (maybe a public and private feed)

How about an Upcoming Events display module/view that links back to the main events calendar. You see this on lots of other portals out there and it would be great for DNN. It could have filter and display values like:

DISPLAY & Filter:
- Scrolling text
- Static ... vertical display .... Next X events or events over the next X days

Also, some options to schedule resources like a clubhouse, conference room, boat rental, etc would be nice.

Thanks for a great module!

Upcoming Events: nice sggestion. I think this could be done by existing modules in combination with an RSSFeed. There are modules around that can scroll other modules. If we create a well defined RSSFeed (plans are for 04.01.00), this could work.

Resource scheduling: was not defined yet. Pelase make an issue in Gemini, so it will pass through the right channels as enhancement suggestion...
