i want to show number of Product in category in store menu infront of its name.

any idea?

First off, you will need to modify the source to add this as I don't see any provisions for it.

Inside the Page_Load of the CategoryMenu control there is a call to populate all categories for the current portal. You could modify the underlying sql/objects to include a ProductCount attribute and simply add to the MyList (DataList) defined on that control. It seems it would be pretty straight forward modifications.
