All of the modules on my site are set to 0 for cache.

Is it truly 0? Where are you looking to see that it is set to 0?

In the module definitions on the host menu. I also checked for cache settings on the modules on the pages and did not find any set to cache.

I'm not sure what happenned exactly but I changed the caching to none and then light on the host settings page and exported the template of my portal. Now the site seems to be working fine... The database had been going nuts for a while; could there have been errors in the database that exporting the portal somehow sorted out?

It's nice to have the site working again but I'd like to know that this isn't going to happen when the system is in a production environment.

On a side note - Can I copy my whole DNN installation directory to another web server and have it work (assuming that the web server has the required software installed and running)?
