By no association I mean I do not work for nor promote Go Daddy.

WHAT?  If you're paid to generate leads, you're affiliated dude.

I guess you know everything.  Including exactly what I did.  How GoDaddy support told me that I could not run 4.x.  How GoDaddy support told me they would not backup the database.  How GoDaddy told me that their servers run in medium trust mode conflicts with DNN 4.x.  I guess you know everything.  After all, you're getting paid and my advice is simply first person, supported with the examples of numerous other users and statements of fact, not opinion. I guess you know everything.  It's be interesting how much you know when your install becomes unstable and GoDaddy refuses to support manual install.  But you'll be ok, you know everything.

I am sorry you feel that way kscamp847, but I am talking about manually setting up DNN 4.02.  It is entirely possible as I have stated many times and created instructions for as well;  many others have proved it with their own sites.  Go Daddy will not setup 4.02 for you, but you can do it yourself.  If you wish to backup your database you must also do that yourself.  I have have not charged for my advice on this matter as you infer although I am a paid professional in this industry, so it does stand to reason that I should be more familiar with the material.

I will not respond to anymore of your diatribes as it is counter productive.  I wish you well with your experiences.

"MichaelWinter"  being a professional does not make you an expert.  I'm glad that you're letting me have the last word in our "conversation".   Your credibility is shot having lied about having a financial interest in promoting GoDaddy and your ethics are lacking given you edited my post to further your financial benefit and claimed your earned it.  Some people would also find it highly suspicious that the "testimonials" you've secured are from people from one or two posts.  They might claim they're all from you.

However, I thought you might enjoy the following series of links showing that DNN 4.x is NOT stable when manually installed on GoDaddy servers because of the medium trust issue.  Don't believe me?  What about a member of the CORE TEAM?

You'll see, it's not just my opinion, it's supported by numerous other users.

Prove what an expert you are.  Teach the people how to do a database backup from Godaddy.  Oh, wait, you're not responding anymore.
