Active Modules Acquires Social Networking Solution

Charleston, SC (PRWEB) May 28, 2008 -- Active Modules Inc, a leader in online community solutions, has finalized an agreement to acquire social networking solutions MyMessages and MyProfile, which will integrate with existing products from Active Modules.

"DNNFusion is pleased by the association with Active Modules and Will Morgenweck. I am sure with Active Modules' professional approach and standard for high quality and support, the MyProfile and MyMessages products will excel and set a new standard for Web 2.0 applications in the DotNetNuke arena," said Lucas Giezen, Owner of DNNFusion.

Active Modules will now be developing, managing and selling MyMessages and MyProfile, both former DNNFusion social networking solutions.

"We are very fortunate to have this opportunity. Lucas Giezen of DNNFusion has done a fantastic job with MyProfile and MyMessages. Adding these products to the Active Modules suite will allow us to offer the DotNetNuke community the first complete solution for social networking," said Will Morgenweck, founder and president of Active Modules, Inc.

MyMessages and MyProfile are modeled after common features found in popular social networking websites. MyMessages allows users to directly interact while enjoying customizable messages, flexible message options and integration with your current community solution. MyProfile offers an extension of the basic user profile by allowing users to publish blogs, lists, picture galleries, friends, and more. MyMessages and MyProfile will be renamed Active Messaging and Active Profile to reflect the change.

Active Messaging and Active Profile will integrate with Active Forums, a community forum solution built by Active Modules, Inc. The use of all three products will allow for a complete communication cycle among website users.

Active Modules will begin offering Active Messaging and Active Profile on their website beginning June 1.

Headquartered in Charleston, S.C., Active Modules, Inc. is a software development company offering custom solutions focused around DotNetNuke and the Microsoft .NET Framework. Active Modules produces several of the top modules for the DotNetNuke Web application Framework. Consisting of web applications for customer relationship management (CRM), Web site development and e-commerce functionality, the Active Modules product line offers proven solutions for on-line communities and small businesses.
