Just wanted to post this hoping it could help someone getting this error in the future without spending the time I had to researching it. I Googled the error and it's been reported before, but couldn't find a resolution.

In IE7 and if you have a skin with a lot of content (have to scroll), sometimes you'll receive the above JavaScript error when you touch the scrollbar. It will even keep you from being able to login! I had to delete my skin file (via FTP) so that DNN reverts to the default skin so I could at least login and go back to using a different skin.

It turns out that you cannot have a <form> tag in your skin. I had a very simple "subscribe" form and thought I could get away with it, but as soon as I removed that form, everything worked.

Thanks for the post.  You did save me some time.  which is not at a premium these days.

I pasted some javascript for another developer and at first assumed it was his code.

Well it was,  not the ScrollTop function but the form tag.

is AJAX the solution for significant javascript in an ascx page?
